Both courses are beautiful and flat to slightly rolling through the Penna. Dutch farms of the Oley Valley, 8 miles east of Reading. FAST, WHEEL MEASURED COURSE; good place to set a “best time”. The course consists of paved roads with very little traffic (roads not closed to traffic but run faces traffic), splits at every mile, digital clock at finish and most intersections manned. Some of the most unique & attractive awards around, multi-color long sleeve T-shirt to all runners (inc. day of race while they last) over 60 door prizes each year, instant results, results posted on www.pagodapacers.com within 2-3 days, splits at key miles and lots of food & drink afterwards.

Announcements

The 20th Anniversary of the Mt Penn Mudfest was a success! Many thanks to all of the volunteers who came out to support the club’s
efforts in putting on a quality event for our runners, many of whom
were from out of town. We had 302 finishers, lots of sunshine, a
few rocky trails, and a great post-race party. Thanks also to Mountain
Springs & Captain’s Cove, which served as race headquarters.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next year!

Overall winner Shaun Horan of
Binghamton, NY won in 1:06:11
First place female Laura Kline of
New Paltz, NY finished in 1:12:07

Congratulations to all who ran.

21st. Great American Clean-up, April 26 (Saturday) 9AM,  we will be meeting at Phil Lechner and Andrea Faust's residence at 1401 Walnut Street in Reading and will be picking up trash in the woods and on the trails on Mt. Penn.  We are looking for 15 to 20 volunteers who are willing to put in 2-3 hours of walking and cleaning the trails we often run on.  We may also cover  some of the roads in that area as well.  Please bring gloves and reflective clothes (for the road work), but garbage bags will be provided.  Let's get out and show the city and county how much the club cares for our environment.
